Daytona Condos in 2018
There are 543 condos for sale in Daytona Beach Area, which includes Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, Ormond Beach, Ponce Inlet, South Daytona, Holly Hill, and Port Orange.
This is the peak of the slow season, so no wonder prices start from $45K (3 condos for less than $45K), and all the way to $1,299,000.
In the preceding 12 months, 1,122 condos were sold in Daytona Beach area. Prices started from $38,000 (only one for under $40K), 6 units were sold for less than $50K.
It is a nearly same as in 2017 (1,113), and close to what was sold in 2016 – 1,073.
Daytona Beach’s share of sale in 2018 was 307 condos. 306 condos were sold in Daytona Beach Shores. 210 in Ormond Beach, 138 in Ponce Inlet…
Are we in a stagnant market? Who knows. At least it feels this way.
Yes, there are some good signs. In 2018 we enjoyed the view of construction cranes. Three new condos are at different stage of construction locally owned and remodel by experts in the field. The first three after 2007.
Commercial construction is more active. On Atlantic Ave., we now have the Hard Rock Hotel. In the heart of the Beachside, we are watching the 27-story hotel tower coming taller and taller just next to the Plaza Resort, and Protogroups second Tower starts coming up from the ground.
One Daytona, the brainchild of International Speedway Corporation, is booming. New leases, new entertainment, restaurants, hotels are coming one after another.
Daytona is changing… but it is happening too darn slow
