Daytona Inn Beach Resort is on the north-east corner of the intersection of International Speedway Blvd (SR 92) and Atlantic Ave. You just can’t be anymore central anywhere on the beachside Daytona. This is the heart of beachside, a dream location right on the beach, steps to Boardwalk, Ocean Center, Peabody Auditorium, Main Street with all the events and activities within walking distance.

Daytona Inn Beach Resort is a 4-story U-shaped condo-hotel built in 1962. It was converted to a condo-hotel in mid 90s. 60% of  units are studios and 40% are suites. Units 1 to 8 do not have much of a view or, better say, have limited ocean view, no balconies. Units 9 to 25 are direct oceanfront with large balconies, and the rest of units are on the south side. They have narrow so called “bachelor” or “French” balconies.

No view of the ocean for units on the south side on the first and second floor, as there are 2 story commercial buildings along the ISB blocking the views. Better views from 3 and better yet even better from the 4th floor.

This was the second conversion from a hotel to condo-hotel done by developer John Rainey, followed by Hawaiian Inn and, later, Oceanside Inn. There is a restaurant on site. The Resort is on non-driving section of the beach. Oceanfront pool is gorgeous.

152 residential and 5 commercial condo units are in the resort.

This is a rare condo-hotel, where the rules (but not the Condo Declaration) allow the owners to have 2 pets with combined weight of 35 lbs. However, because Rules do not trump Declaration, this status quo can be challenged, however we are not attorneys and this is only our opinion.

Currently the resort is undergoing a massive concrete restoration project changing the look to the better. And, of course, greatly improving on the physical condition of the building.
